Bronze, greenish patinated. Humorous depiction of three mixed creatures with pig, bull and horse heads, each as a drummer with a pair of cymbals. Partly monogrammed 'ST'. H. 24,5 cm. - As large sculptures in the Parque del Oeste, Malaga. - Provenance: Formerly coll. Fritz van Ankum/Imme Reich-van Ankum, owner of Galería Arabal, Alicante. - German painter and sculptor, raised in Ruhpolding and Munich, von Reiswitz lived and worked in Málaga for decades. Inspired by North African and South European imagery, he created a diverse oeuvre of imaginative sculptures with fancy quotations from the world of antiquity alongside his work as a painter. Málaga commissioned him to design a large public park with his figures. Renowned galleries in Salzburg, Munich, Madrid, among others, as well as museums at home and abroad exhibited his work.
