Panel in relief with 3 elaborately carved toranas in a multiple leaf and pearl cord frame, in the centre Prajnaparamita, the goddess of wisdom, flanked by 2 Buddhas, each on a lion throne, above them Garuda and Kirthimukas, respectively, with columns of tendrils and depictions of Buddha in between. Slightly worn. H. 29,5 x w. 74,5 cm. - Provenance: Lempertz, auction no. 798 (1.12.2000), lot 374; private collection Schleswig-Holstein. -
