Tempera/canvas, 180,5 x 86,5 cm, up. le. monogr. and dat. OF-Tr 1913, on the stretcher estate stamp, some rest. - The naturalistically life-size painted graceful person on a bed of tulips seems to float in the sky and thus creates the interesting tension of Art Nouveau, which propagates the liberation from conventions in perfection of craftsmanship and formal rigour. - Versatile painter, graphic artist, interior designer and glass painter. F.T. studied at the Dresden art school and academy, among others under R. Müller a. O. Zwintscher. He cooperated with M. Pechstein in decorations for artist's parties. He was co-founder of the 'Deutscher Werkbund' and member of the Hamburg secession. Since 1926 he was professor in Leipzig a. Wiesbaden.
