Late 18th cent. Alabaster. Oval profile portraits to the left of a middle-aged gentleman or lady. Signed 'Ohmacht'. Backside reinforced with plaster. Slightly chipped. 10,5 x w. 9 cm. - German sculptor who worked in the studio of Johann Peter Melchior in Frankenthal, among others, later settled in Strasbourg and is known for his miniature busts and relief portraits made of alabaster.
