Before 1956, oil/canvas, 27,5 x 22,5 c, lo. ri. sign. F. Gall Paris, on the stretcher several labels 'Galerie Roussard, Coll. H. Sarohl, 25. juin 1956: 60.000 F'. - French-Hungarian figure painter. G. studied 1926-29 at the Academy Cluj and in the artist colony Nagybánya. Thanks to a scholarship he was able to study again in 1936, this time in Paris, where he finally settled in 1945. From 1946 he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants and became its vice-president in 1975. G. received many awards for his characteristic depictions of Parisian life.
