Around 1930. Bronze, brown patinated. On the plinth sign. 'G. Schliepstein'. H. 49 x w. 52 x d. 21 cm. - German sculptor and porcelain modeller, was one of the most respected sculptors of his time in the first half of the 20th century. He studied at the Berlin Art Academy and created fountains, sculptures, figures and busts from 1926 to 1945 in a joint studio with Fritz Bernuth. He designed models for KPM Berlin, and Schliepstein worked for Rosenthal from 1925 to 1937 (exclusively from 1929).
