Designed around 1931. Nickel silver. Foundry mark 'GUSS SCHMÄKE' on the underside. Slightly oxidised. Figure: H. 22,5 cm, base: H. 5 cm. - In the autumn of 1930 Ruwoldt undertook a trip to Paris, which made a lasting impression on him. In the depiction of the plump female nude with round body forms he shows himself strongly inspired by the work of Aristide Maillol, one of the fathers of modern sculpture. - Literature: Ill. in: M.
