Oil/canvas. 40,5 x 60 cm. Lo. le. inscribed 'Copie nach J. H. Mohrmann Antwerpen 1900'. - German marine painter. S. went to sea and began in the 1950s as a self-taught marine painter. Soon he was able to sell to captains and shipowners. Since the 1970s, he also exhibited regularly, among others at the Museumsberg Flensburg and the Schiffahrtsmuseum Bremerhaven.
