Aquatint/paper/wove paper, 15 x 9 cm, lo. ri. autographed Chillida, lo. le. num. 25/50, framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Literature: Cat. rais.: van der Koelen 67003. - Spanish artist, one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century. C. studied architecture in Madrid from 1943-46, then painting, and moved to Paris in 1948. In 1951 he settled in Hernani in the Basque Country as a freelance sculptor. His largely monumental sculptures were shown several times at Documenta and at countless solo exhibitions. His figure 'Berlin' stands in front of the Federal Chancellery.
