Around 1925. Hardwood, carved, stained brown. H. 64 cm. On the back of the plinth signed 'K.OPFERMANN. Tension cracks. A naked female figure rises with pleasure from the waves. The clearly visible tool marks enliven the surface and give the sculpture liveliness. - Sculptor and graphic artist, after trained as ornament creator he studied in Hamburg with R. Luksch, 1919 he joined the Berlin 'Novembergruppe' and the Hamburger Sezession. Mus.: Hamburg (Kunsthalle), Schleswig.
