Oil/canvas. 51 x 62,5 cm. Lo. ri. sign. Otto Pippel, on the stretcher titled on artist's label. - German landscape, interior and portrait painter, strongly influenced by impressionism. P. studied from 1896 in Strasbourg, Karlsruhe and Dresden, among others with G. Kuehl. He traveled to Russia and Italy, and in Paris in 1908 he discovered impressionism.
