Around 1912. Dark patinated bronze. Bronze: H. 43 cm x w. 45 x d. 12,5 cm, Marmorsockel: H. 2 cm. On the terrain plinth signed and dated: A. ZELLER 1912. - American sculptor, studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, during a stay in Paris from 1890-1894 he worked in the studio of Auguste Rodin, among others, and after his return to the USA he worked as curator of sculpture at the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh until his death.
