Böhmer, E. Mönch and W. Raabe at the Stuttgart academy. In 1961 he moved to Hamburg and studied again under W. M. Busch a. S. Oelke at the Schule für Gestaltung, where he became a teacher himself in 1972. W. is one of the best contemporary German graphic artists.
