G. studied in Münster and Düsseldorf with N. Tadeusz and G. Graubner. From 2000-2010 she was a Professor at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee and from 2010-2018 she was Professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. G. has been the recipient of numerous awards such as the Otto-Rischl-Kunstpreis in 2015, the Oskar-Schlemmer-Preis in 2014, and the Andy-Warhol Residency Award in 2002.
