M. has fostered an interest in art since childhood, but her own work only moved into the public eye in the 1970s. Her work encompasses painting, printmaking, embroideries, decoupage as well as scenography and set design amongst others. Q. M. studied philosophy at Copenhagen University, Archeology at the University of Cambridge and political science at the Aarhus University, the Sorbonne and the London School of Economics.
