1946. Watercolour and pencil. 30,5 x 25 cm. Lo. ri. monogr. and dat. HN 46, matted and framed under glass, unopened. - German painter and draftsman. From 1930-1932 N. studied at the Bauhaus in Dessau. He studied under Wassily Kandinsky, Mies van der Rohe and Josef Albers, among others. Before that he had completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and wood sculptor at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Krefeld. In 1970 he became a member of the Welbergener Kreis and in 1991 he received the culture prize of the city of Steinfurt, followed in 1996 by the culture prize of the district of Steinfurt.
