Around 1920/30. Bronze, brown patinated. H. 40 cm. On the back side sign. MÜLLER ERFURT. Depiction of two female three-quarter nudes, presumably a pair of sisters due to the physiognomic similarity, the larger one holding a cloth in her left hand, the smaller one standing sideways behind her and leaning familiarly on her shoulders - German sculptor, trained from 1906 at the Academy of Art in Munich with Erwin Kurz and is subsequently in Berlin, where he was represented at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and received commissions for architectural sculpture. In the Kunstgussmuseum Lauchhammer a plaster model for a Venus figure has been preserved, the bronze version of which (1912) recently appeared on the art market.
