Around 1920. Bronze, black patinated. H. 32,5 cm. On the plinth signed HUGO LEDERER. The statuette shows the Field Marshal in a buttoned uniform coat, with a cap and a cane - German sculptor and medalist, one of the most important and prolific sculptors of the Wilhelmine era. After completing his training in Znaim, Lederer settled in Berlin in 1895 as a freelance sculptor and created important monuments, including the colossal Bismarck monument in Hamburg and the equestrian monument to Emperor Friedrich III. in Aachen.
