Venini, Murano. Designed 1921, made around 1950. Glass. H. 27 cm. At the bottom inscribed venini murano (etched). Ovoid body on flared foot, indented short neck. Continous spiral decoration of fused white-opaque glass rods in filigree 'zanfirico' technique. - Italian Painter and glass designer, studied at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Venice and worked in various areas of applied arts, 1921-25 freelancer at Artisti Barovier, 1925-26 at M.V.M. Cappellin, 1932 at A.V.E.M., 1933 at Artistica Vetreria e Sofferia Barovier & Toso and 1938 at Fratelli Toso.
