WO, numbered copy 1/12, inscribed Bacchus III, dated 89. - Expertise: Certificate by the artist from 10th December 1991 - German sculptor, studied sculpture in Berlin in 1948, 1957 prize at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition, lived with his family in the USA and moved to Worpswede in 1976, having accepted a professorship in Bremen. Throughout his oeuvre Otto dealt with figurative sculpture - in the form of torsos - and created his figurative human images in wood, granite, bronze and cast stone. Many of his works can be found in public spaces in various German cities.
