Around 1947. Oil/canvas. 50 x 65,5 cm. Lo. le. sign. Ernst Schumacher. - Provenance: Collection Hubertus Wald - German landscape painter. S. studied at the Düsseldorf Academy and joined the 'Junges Rheinland' group in 1922, and the Rhenish Secession in 1928. Persecuted during the National Socialist era, S. became a professor at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Berlin in 1947 at the instigation of Karl Hofer.
