1976. Bronze, patinated. 49 x 140 cm. Right below sign. and dat. fleer 1976, left below inscribed LUKAS 10, 30-37. Here Fleer virtuously depicts the parable of the Good Samaritan from the Gospel of Luke: in the foreground the Samaritan who takes pity on an injured man and treats his wounds in an inn, in the background on the left two idly passing by. - The relief was created in 1976 as a commissioned work for the Rats-Apotheke in Helmstedt (Lower Saxony) - Provenance: Private collection Hamburg - Northern German sculptor and graphic artist, studied at the National Art School in Hamburg by Edwin Scharff, study tours to Denmark, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece, USA, China and Kenya, received the Edwin Scharff Prize in 1966.
