1984. Bronze, dark-brown patinated. H. 83 cm. On the plinth monogr. MS. With waving hair, a naked young woman stands in the sea tides. - As a large sculpture, the figure is in the public space in Kiel (Neumühlen-Dietrichsdorf) - Literature: Cat.rais. Kraus-Gins/Krause/Jacobs, p. 26 (large sculpture - German sculptor, studied art history, architecture and metal sculpture and was a student of Gerhard Marcks. Since 1958 Max Schegulla lived and worked as a sculptor in the Hanstedt district of Dierkshausen in the Nordheide. His diverse oeuvre includes numerous works in public spaces in Hamburg, Kiel, Bochum and Dortmund, winged altars, leaded glass windows and color prints.
