B. studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule and the Academy in Munich from 1894. In 1896 he moved to Berlin, where he became a master student of A. Kampf at the Academy. At first he was engaged in sculpture, later also in lithography and etching. From 1908 he was a lecturer at the Hamburg School of Arts and Crafts. His main work is the 'Kunststätte Bossard' in Jesteburg, which was built up over decades and decorated as a total work of art. Mus.: Bern, Danzig.
