Burma. 14/15th cent. Bronze with traces of silvering, gilding and red painting. H. 35 cm. Repaired. The toga-clad Buddha sits on a double lotus throne and makes the Bhumisparsa gesture, in which the fingertips of the right hand touch the earth and the left hand is in the lap.
