G., matted and framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Provenance: Gallery Elke Dröscher, Hamburg, 11.01.2001; since then Privatsammlung Hamburg - Russian stage designer, draughtsman and actor. G. studied in Moscow until 1920 and continued the work he had already begun at various theaters. He also studied at the Moscow Film School until 1925. He then worked mainly as a set designer for films, for which he was awarded the USSR State Prize in 1971.
