1947. Oil/canvas. 61,5 x 48,5 cm. Lo. ri. sign. Frankenstein, on the stretcher on label titled and dat. 1947. - German painter. F. attended evening classes at the Berlin School of Arts and Crafts from 1933-37, his teacher was Max Kaus. He was severely harassed by the National Socialists and banned from working in 1943. After the war, he initially worked as a freelancer. In 1952, Heinrich Ehmsen accepted him as a master student at the Academy of Arts.
