Early 20th cent. Bronze, black patinated. H. 53 cm. Sign. R. Schnauder. Classical female nude with scarf over the r. arm. Arm and beautiful black patina. - Schnauder has unmistakably taken up the motif of the "bathing Venus", which has been famous since antiquity - German sculptor, studied 1875/76 at the academy of arts in Dresden under Ernst Hähnel, from 1886 with his own studio in Dresden.
