Lot-No. 673

Proceeds : 1.900 €

Around 1976. Stone. Figure: H. 53 cm, grey painted wooden base: H. 8 cm. The island landscape of Ischia, where the artist grew up, inspired de Angelis both in his choice of materials (stone, tuff, lava stone, etc.) and in the form of his sculptures. Westdeutsche Landesbank. Münster, 1976, p. 6) - Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist by the consignor's father in 1976 - Italian sculptor, was already considered a sculptural prodigy at the age of 11, began his academic training at the Istituto d'arte di Napoli, was finally accepted at the Accademie d'arte di Firenze in 1960 and completed his studies at the Kunstakademie München. His extensive oeuvre ranges from small and large sculptures to large monumental ensembles
