Walther modelled the pepper-eater from the toucan family, which is found in South America, several times, here in large format with stretched hear, enthroned on a leaf base, with a yellow-red beak and imaginative plumage colouring - Porcelain modeller. Paul Walther, since 1891 active at the Meissen Manufactory, ranks among the most productive modellers of animal figures and created between 1904 and 1933 around 196 models for the Meissen Manufactory.
