König is known above all for his work on the figurative decoration of magnificent Viennese buildings; only a few models have survived in porcelain, such as the “Cupid and Mermaid” group - German sculptor and porcelain modeler, studied at the Academy of Arts in Dresden, pupil of Ernst Julius Höhnel, from 1868 professor at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna
