1968. Oil/canvas. 56 x 46,5 cm. Lo. le. sign. Mario Tozzi, on the reverse certificate of Galleria La Madonnetta Lugano. - Italian painter. T. began studying chemistry, but switched to painting at the Bologna Academy in 1913. In 1919 he settled in Paris, where his paintings were very well received in several salons. In the 1930s he was also admitted to the Legion of Honor. In 1936-57 he lived in Italy again and exhibited at the Venice Biennale, among others. In the last phase of his life, he returned to France for family reasons.
