Around 1893. Silver , marked 800, partially gilt, manufactory mark: screw press, model no. 92747, sales mark: GUNDEL LEIPZIG. Jubilee gift from some brothers of the 'Apollo' lodge in Leipzig to mark the 100th anniversary of its foundation. On a round stand on 4 feet a large matt-gilt bowl with scale decoration. On it a baluster shaft with winged putti above lion heads, inscription cartouches 'In memory of the I. Founder's Festival in the II. century dedicated by your beloved Lodge Apollo' as well as the engraved names of the founders: Brr. Fischer/ Köllner/ Körner /Lichtenhain/ Nowack/ Tonazza/ Vacherot/ Wiessner. Above a smaller round bowl with scale decoration, also matt-gilt. Crowning figural finial in the shape of a flora with a garland of flowers and a putto with a dove. H. 75 cm, diam. 50 cm, weight approx. 7350 g -
