Paris, c. 1790. Bronze, firegilded, the cabinet with glazing on three sides, white enamel dial behind glass with golden hands, black roman and arab. numerals, labelled "A Paris" and "G. Merlet". Georges Adrien Merlet born 1754, died 1802 was a well known emailleur, his signature can be found only on few clocks from Paris of the late 18th cent. Movement with pendulum. 1 ornament of a rose missing. No key. Enamel dial min. dam. H. 35 cm, w. 23,5 cm, d. 15,5 cm.
