Group of 4 persons on a riverbank putting little vine cups into the water. The subject refers to the so called Gathering at the orchid"s pavillon, one of the legendary works of art in Chinese caligraphy. Without signature. Min. traces of age. 115 x 41 cm. - Prov.: Former coll. of Prof. Paul Wember, director of the Krefeld Art Museum for many years.
