China, 19th cent. (Qing-dynasty 1644-1911). Porcelain with polychrome painting. Bellied globe form with tall neck and 2 side handles in the shape of mythical creatures. At the wall a large Famille-Rose painting with phoenix-birds among peony-flowers on a seladon-underground. At the shoulder a large border with landscape-reserves on a basketwork underground. At the neck ornamental foliage and flowers on a Sang-de-boeuf-underground underneath a ruyi-border. Without mark. H. 60 cm.
