China, late Qing-dynasty (1644-1911). Bronze with dark patina. Bellied rectangular body in the shape of archaic Hu-vases. At both sides of the neck ring-handles with animal heads. The wall with an archaic relief with mythical creatures and t"ao-t"ieh-masks. Later mounting for lighting. Overall h. 45 cm.
