Sino-Tibetan, 18th cent. (Qing-dynasty 1644-1911). Fire-gilt bronze with partly dark patina. Seated figurine of Buddha on a semi-circular lotus-pedestal. The legs crossed and the right hand pointing towards the earth (bhumiparsamudra). The serene face with downcast and contemplative expression. In the bottom of the pedestal the Wheel of Life (Dharmachakra). H. 24 cm.
