Meissen, end of 19th cent. In the centre a very fine painting with battle scene: The Prussian king and later Emperor Wilhelm I. on his horse in the battlefield. The slightly waved rim with rich relief and gold-decoration. On the rim a border with 4 painting reserves and 4 heraldic cartouches. The paintings showing scenes from the war. The 4 cartouches with the coat of arms of the 4 involved German kingdoms (Prussia, Bavaria, Saxonia and Wurttemberg). Crossed swords in u"glaze blue with pommel and incised "117". Diam. 24 cm.
