End of 19th cent. Bronze with dark brown patina, h. 27 cm, l. 36 cm, on bronze plinth sign. 'J. Moigniez', one figure with foundary mark 'Susse Féres Fondeur' and numbered 12/100, without reins. - French animal sculptor, student of Paul Comoléra, exhibited from 1855 until 1892 regulary at the Parisian Salon, his most plentiful subjects were sculptures of birds, dogs and horses. - Lit.: Thieme-Becker.
