Paris, 19th cent. Wood, carved, light grey marble. Above frame each with stamp signature 'Grohe á Paris'. Min. dam. H. 78 cm, d. 50 cm. - The Grohé brothers, German in origin, settled in Paris in 1827. In 1829 they founded a company to manufacture and sell furniture and objets d'art.
