Meissen, around 1730. Boettger porcelain. Cylindrical jar with slightly domed cover and low foot. The cover and the lower wall with a relief border of acanthus leaves. Both sides of the wall with a large gold-framed reserve with rich ornamental decoration and luster painting among foliage and Indian flowers underneath a relief tulip border. The reserves with chinoiserie paintings after Johann Gregorius Höroldt. The cover rest. H. 15,5 cm. - The form, which is also referred as tobacco jar, was first made in 1724.
