China,18th/19th cent. (Qing-dynasty 1644-1911). Yixing-stoneware with expressively blue spotted glaze. Sealmark 'Ge Mingxiang zhi'. H. 29 cm. - A very similar vase of identical shape and with the same sealmark can be found in the coll. of the Victoria & Albert Museum London (Inv. 810-1883), dat. 18th cent. See also a Meiping vase in the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Australia (Inv. EC4.1966).
