Masson', foundary mark 'MD Medaille d'or Paris'. - This bronze was exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1894 under the title 'Âne Marocain'. - Parisian sculptor and medalist, son of the famous animal sculptor Clovis E. Masson (1838 - 1913). Jules E. Masson specialized in depictions of animals and cherished life long interest in Oriental motifs.
