Saint-Denis near Paris, around 1900. Greenish glass, ice-like etched ground circumferential with painted decoration of poppies and leaves in gold and polychrome opaque enamel. On rim with relief gold rocailles. On ground labeled with Bishop's cap and tape in a shield 'Mont Joye L & Cie' (in gold). H. 51 cm. - The trademark 'Mont Joye L et Cie' was probably the company name for a part of the early production of Legras family, which included the ice-like decoration mainly echted glasses with gold painting.
