Bronze with golden patina, overall h. 56 cm, foundary stamp 'F.P. Sanson Succ. Hamburg Neuer Wall', plinth little dam. - Mercury is one of the major works of Giovanni Bologna, called Giambologna, Master of the Italian Late Mannerism. In 1580 he was original designed for a fountain of Palazzo Medici in Florence Florentine and is now in the Museo Nazionale del Bargello.
