KPM/Berlin, 19th cent. Biscuit porcelain. Design of the shape by Julius Mantel, middle of 19th cent. Tall baluster body with richly curved and gilt mermaid-handles (partly rest.) on an octagonal base. At the front an allegorical depiction of architecture as a young woman, framed by two putti, the one holding a Greek temple and the other with the model of a Gothic cathedral, probably after a design by Wilhelm von Kaulbach (1805-1874).
