German, around 1905. Bronze with dark patina, figure h. 27 cm, on high plinth (min. chips) h. 15,5 cm, on plinth sign. 'Lewin-Funcke', foundary mark 'Akt. Ges. vorm. H. Gladenbeck u. Sohn', indistingt numbered 13741, tire min. loose. - German sculptor and medalist, apprenticeship for ivory carvers, and then visit the Technical Training School in Berlin. 1890-1895 studies at the Art Academy Berlin, study tour to Rome and one year of study at the Académie Julian in Paris.
