Meissen, 1903-1905. Entwurf Richard Riemerschmid. Characteristic 'Blue pattern Riemerschmid' in very intense underglazed blue. 31parts: coffeepot (h. 21 cm), pot (h. 15 cm), milk jug, sugar box (border min. rest.), 12 cups with saucers (min. chip to 1 saucer), 14 plates (diam. 17 cm), 1 large round tray (diam. 36,5 cm). Crossed swords mark with knobs, partially with incised lines.Richard Riemerschmid was an important pioneer of the modern movement 'Arts and Crafts'. Academic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, co-founder of the 'Vereinigte Werkstätten für Kunst und Handwerk' (1897) and 'Deutscher Werkbund' (1907). 1912-1924 he headed the Munich School of Arts and Crafts.
