Meissen, around 1912/13. Porcelain, painted with purple, iron red, gold, black and grey. A female allegory of the spring accompanied by a putto. Crossed swords mark, incised model's number 'C 208', in iron red '27.'. Very small retouches, very small chip. H. 31 cm. - Literature: Bergmann, Meissener Künstler-Figuren, p. 453, no. 906. - Oehler studied at the Dresden Academy under Georg Wrba and worked until 1914 for the Meissen Manufactory. He was a member of the Hamburg artist association and the German Künstlerverein and the German 'Werkbund'. He created numerous genre figures, children's figurines and animal figures.
